TUG CLASSROOM

The Acadian Freedom was a tug vessel built in 1972 to handle anchors for oil rigs in the North Sea and off the coast of Nigeria. In 2012, we found the tug in an East Boston marine scrap yard, and we began to imagine a new landside life for it, reinstated in the PORT landscape as a semi-outdoor, waterfront classroom.
